DC Ideas Fest event: The Vision of an Inclusive Economy in the District

Interested in building an inclusive economy? Want to know more about mayor Bowser's new economic strategy?

The Urban Institute is hosting an event as part of DC Ideas Fest to "elevate the debate about how we can achieve an inclusive economy for all Washingtonians. Research experts and community leaders will explore how the plan can address the vast disparities in employment and opportunity between different groups of people and neighborhoods and lead to greater shared prosperity." Panelists include:

  • Chip Ellis, CEO, Ellis Development Group
  • Oramenta Newsome, vice president, LISC DC and LISC Virginia
  • Gustavo Velasquez, director, Washington-Area Research Initiative, Urban Institute (moderator)
