Dads and daughters, take a walk Saturday, July 7

National Father Daughter Take a Walk Day is Saturday, July 7.  It’s a time for dads and daughters of all ages to spend some alone time in the great outdoors.

And the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail is the perfect place to celebrate. The DC trail features an array of sights: lilypads, meadows, woods, an urban skyline, old and new neighborhoods, the Anacostia River, Anacostia Park, Kingman and Heritage Islands, the Yards, and USS Barry.

There are several sites which can help you plan your day out on the trail:

If you take some pics and share on social media while you are out and about, add #FatherDaughterTakeAWalkDay and #anacostiariverwalktrail if you do end up strolling along the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. Next year, we might include them in our post encouraging dads and daughters to get outside!
