Anacostia Park is 100 years old this year and you can help the National Park Service celebrate Friday, August 31 (6:00-10:00 pm) and Saturday, September 1 (10:00 am - 8:00 pm).
Be a part of Anacostia Park history during the two-day centennial birthday bash featuring an evening summer concert on the lawn on Friday and all day fun in the park on Saturday. Enjoy early morning group fitness classes, fishing lessons (with a competition for the biggest fish caught), live music, a disco skating party, scavenger hunts and much more at the Anacostia Park Birthday Bash!
Go to the river (Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion 1500 Anacostia Dr SE) during the last days of summer and celebrate 100 years of preserving green spaces along the Anacostia River during the Year of the Anacostia!
