Who we are
APACC is made up of many organizations with diverse missions, including both environmental advocates and community organizations. We currently have 28 member organizations, but we collaborate with any organization that shares our mission and values regardless of membership.
What we do
APACC serves as a convener and facilitator. We bring organizations together around initiatives in order to build our collective capacity to address issues, and we prioritize actions that elevate the voices of those historically silenced or left out of decision-making.
We work together to create a river corridor that supports the social, mental, physical, spiritual and economic health of Ward 7 and Ward 8 residents.
The Collaborative is in part supported by the Chesapeake Bay Funders Network's Capacity Building Initiative. The Initiative is a three year, comprehensive program of the Chesapeake Bay Funders Network that provides support to watershed organizations and Riverkeepers through grants, one-on-one training, networking, and tailored technical assistance to increase the operational effectiveness of these organizations.
